Description:
Aulonocara ethelwynnae are endemic to Chitande Island in Lake Malawi. Males are yellow with bright blue fins and stripes, while females remain gray. They are typically found at depths deeper than 15 meters among scattered rocks. In the wild, they feed primarily by sifting the sand for tiny morsels of food so a sandy substrate should be provided to facilitate this behavior.
